sir-knight: pretty sure that is correct for a lot of tablet pcs. I was only using the Axiontron Modbook (apple Macbook converted to a slate tablet pc) as reference for 512 levels of pressure, as that is what they claimed the modbook was using. I haven't seen anything higher than that.…
Hey MoP, would you happen to know anyhting about using the 'deform sprite' def on an alphatested shader with specular and bumpmaps? Ive been trying to get this to work for foliage on trees but instead I ended up just creating a 6-tri cluster model (3 planes facing at each axis) for the foliage using the same material but…
You are just blind. :) Max's Relax tools are considerably better than Maya's. The only thing Max lacks which I'd like from Maya is the "Map UV Border" tool, but just using Max's Relax overcomes this 99% of the time. You'll find it in Tools -> Relax, set Amount to 1.0 and Iterations to about 200, hit Apply and your UVs will…
Roger. Well... without that info gonna be hard to figure what's happening... Ideally you could send me the models so I could debug it(I treat all the models confidentially)... but if you can't I understand it. In red color, right? Interesting. And If you check/uncheck the "discard backface hits" option? If you use that…
yeah, you would do what thomasp is saying, you would only use a portion of your tablet area... if you tried to use the whole thing, one axis would be squished so you'd move 1 inch one way and it would be fine ,but if you move 1 inch another way you move halfway across the screen heh.
gameplay, fast and furious. Map would make a great 1 on 1 map with a little tweaking. If you could drop the floor and make another level, add more Z-axis this CTF map would be even better. Graphics side, I'm not a fan of everything being the same colored lighting. Look at any UT3 community bonus packs for example, they all…
everything looks ok so far, but it'd be good to know what type of game this is going in (FPS i assume?) If its FPS you need to reconsider some detail areas, such as on the strut part of the arch and sacrifice a few more polys from above details. The unwrap is ok, bit of nasty texture stretching on the depth axis, I'd…
I like it I know it's really rough, there were a few areas that just "happened all of the sudden"... Specifically, the goat getting eatin, but from what you have described that's not the timing you're ultimately going for. I really like your description, and I can kind of picture the dragon sort've laying relaxed,…
Cool been wondering if it was possible. I've always just gone into Axis Mode (insert) and clicked on the reset ball. Puts it back at Local Transform&Rotate 0,0,0. So I can tinker from there. That looks like it needs a shortcut key setup. ^_^ heh
