Unity supports metal/rough; we just have an inverted roughness response at the moment to macth standard specular authoring (whiter values = more shiny/higher glossiness), so you'd have to invert alpha channels of anything authored as metal/rough. Either way, both Unity metal and Unity specular use the same black = dull,…
Initially there were no smoothing groups (hard edges) and that's what gave me the dark areas on the ouput normal map. Once I added a hard edge to the meshes that got rid of that error. I'll have to experiment a bit more with it and see if I can narrow down the problem.
Yeah there's still work to be done :) You make a good point about the steam punk aesthetic although that wasn't our initial intent. I feel it helps as far as learning goes to try to hit the look we were aiming for. At the very least it's fun to experiment!
Hello, WIP Here is Reference, inspiration, and initial scribbles. I also added a shark helmet Idea sketch. I'll probably add more and refine her design along the way. I've started on my lowpoly and I'll upload the WIP soon. :) C&C welcome.
hah, when i wanted to save the image, i found that i already had saved it to my reference folder sometime else :P reexaminating it i found that your initial brush was way smaller than mine, though. so here is my current blockout:
We want to thank you all for the interest and the overwhelming response that we've received! The initial position we advertised for has now been narrowed down to a few applicants but we are always looking for awesome candidates for future positions/projects so don't hesitate to get in touch! :)
So just to clarify my initial question, because probably someone else thinks about it: I just bought ZBrush from Pixologic since they offer 20% off right now during the ZBrush Summit 2016. Price is 585€ and there is no additional taxes applied or something. :)
Who knows if they're technically inclined or not but they could be using a proxy server which would be registering a different location. It could actually be in Pennsylvania though and had initially established the IP for your area since that's where it originally was. Guess you just have to keep an eye on the locations.
New Spectre blades up for collabs! Based of the idea of "elemental spectres", lesser manifestations from Mercurial's home dimension. They could theoretically assume any forms, but here they're weapons. For Water and Fire, left is initial wild stuff, right is (hopefully) optimized for LOD1 300.
I was very interested initially for MP3, but I read it was just roughly 8 hours of single player with plenty of cut scenes. Cut scenes are not a game. That just doesn't cut it these days at $60+. That's my perspective on not buying it at release, shall pick it up at around 20 bucks.
