Damn, I totally forgot to post my work on here ... Inspired by several fighting games and Jet Li. Sculpted, Textured and Rendered (BPR) in ZBrush (comp'd in PS) and another render version with VRay. Hope you guys like it ...
Apart from all the technical stuff, a trick is to add human made stuff, or humans or animals so that viewers can easily recognize its scale and thus, the scale of the main subject you're making This is what I've been working on. cyborg/robotic insects for video game spy bugs
Finally caught some time to work on this guy again. Due to different projects I had to invest some time in he kinda hasn't received much love the last few weeks. However, heres an update: Also had some time to play around with the BPR renders in ZBrush:
You freaking Brazilian spy. (jue jue jk too) And what detail normal maps, ain't nobody needing detail normals when you have the POWER OF 8K!!!!111!!1!!!!1! I'll do a mayo edition just for you once the presentation is nice and oiled up.
I'm glad grenades are gone. It'd be a spam filled shitfest if they were added back in. Just like TFC. Timed conc jumps or not (which you can do with the demoman now). buddikaman : Spy's are generally at the top of the scoreboard somewhere, and Scout's are usually up there too. Play the game more?
That is insane how good it looks. I never really thought about MTG and TF2 together but it is pretty sweet. Doing some other planeswalkers would be pretty awesome too, like Jace Beleren as a spy, or Ajani Goldmane as a Heavy, etc. Regardless, keep the good work up. :D
all tho i like the second one more, i hate them both equaly. tho from my spying on local internets i think the one arsh posted is the most current. the 2d mockup i think was prety earlly on. why is the toy wearing freking trousers?
aww finally got it up and running - though expect some epic lag jitters form me and any of us trying to play all the way from Auz or your servrs..... oh - and my user name is the same i.e. achmedthesnake.... INCOMING! " A SPYS SAPPN MY BEARKUB!" cough...
Apart from the camera, what about the lights in Zbrush viewport? are they good enough or u still need an external program renderer. Does this mean BPR isn't good enough?
You're on "BumpViewerMaterial", and if you BPR it with a polyframe turned on, that's the expected result. Try a different material, such as "BasicMaterial", or "Blinn" if you wish to keep similar glossy specularity you have here.
