@sacboi I've never used any of the addon bakers that Blender's community provides, so I have to ask if the problem with exploded baked option is that it's not automatic and has to be done manually or if it's destructive in sense that separates highpoly objects that should be baked together. I don't have any visual examples… -

Those holes should only be modeled in if you are going to model them into your Low-Poly. If not, then don't worry about it. Same idea for the barrel, only if you're going to model it like that. The back area around the charging handle is the part that is off still. Airsoft version, but it is accurate to the real thing.… -

I added an expression to the model and also changed the color grading in Photoshop, gave it an overal warmer tone. Found the bug for the stiches, the normals with a strength of 1 was too much so it causes artifacts. If you want to preserve the RGB values, you can force Photoshop by increasing the black level of your mask to be 1/255 instead of zero. Use Levels on the alpha, and set the lower Output to 1. Yes, especially if being mipped down (high quality mode = 2k trim texture, low quality mode for lower end machines = 512) there should be quite a lot of padding to prevent bleeding on lower resolutions -
