I'm excited to move on from horses now aha, there's a few 'types' of horses I gotta draw first to get an idea of how they vary, but then I think either cats or dogs are next, hooray!
Trust me, once you wrap your head around normals and how they work, especially in UV'ing, you'll have this big "aha!" moment and everything will be a bajillion times easier. Best of luck man.
anything to get the vibe that he's got that mucoprotein coating (aka fish slime) on him would help alot too, but getting some warmth in the highlights will definitely help too. You're almost there man!

Wrapped up my art station challenge submission. Really wish I could have done more call outs and different views for the modelers, but alas my time is spent on other things.

aah great work pior! how the hell do you sculpt hard surfaces in such a precise way? i always seem to break my hand trying this. is there an easy and fast way to explain how?
