I think you've got the right idea, just a big piece of geo that sits under the surface should do nicely. The problem you might run into is getting mortar around the broken bricks. I have a few suggestions if you get stuck but you're truckin along nicely with your own ideas =)

I like what I'm seeing here, it feels well at home with Blizzard's style of art and texturing, and feels to me as if it could be something like a full next-gen overhaul for WOW, or at least would fit in with such an overhaul. Your latest brick texture, though, looks like the bricks are wedged off from quite a ways. A well…
@Ashervisalis Good call on the lights and the props there. I decided to scrap the idea of the guitar as it was just too much work for a hero prop that wouldn't support the scene much more than the keyboard does. I decided to finish up the rest of the blockout assets and call it quits! (aside from the basket ball hoop,…
So first of, please stop talking yourself down. It's not gonna get you better. Realizing what level of skill your currently at? Absolutely a super awesome great idea, saying that you'r rubbish? I'm not hatin', I'd just like to know for sure, 'cos I've been under the impression that Nintendo is close to doing a Sega ever since the N64 bombed (and to a lesser extent the GC). As for…
Reginor day 4: Now with more freaking looking staff action! My main todo is to get some decoration on the staff (wraps where you hold it, a few gems, other cliche things). Take a shot at getting the costume onto the character (re: wrinkles, the raw shapes are enough now for me, it's cluttered enough for what I had in…
To be honest your work isn't up to AAA quality. when looking at your portfolio I see somone trying to do everything, and it could be holding you back. Your 2d work isnt helping you, unless you want to specifically be a concept artist, I would drop it. right now it is in the weird middle ground between beginner and great,…
Hi Animatr, I started a company several years back and it's a very difficult process. I've successfully worked with some artist from the polycount community so I think it's important for me to try and give you any helpful information. It's hard to get funding even with a full polished demo these days. Collective resumes…
