Quack! said: Yeah, I knew I went overboard with the islands. That was reduced as much as possible. Thankyou for the advice, I'm going to continue with another model now, and apply what you have told me. Anyway, heres a link to the model if anybody was inclined to look at it:…
[SKETCHFAB]e8f562b7ff70477eaee537ee8279921d[/SKETCHFAB] Some smoothing errors still present in the sketchfab mesh, but the work continues, no time to endlessly tweak settings in that website. :poly118: High Source (View in 3D) P3d.in has a bit better import for my mesh groups for some reason... so have a look there for a…
Can only really go up from here by continuing to make pieces for it, but I like it. What I like how it's mostly all from the same mod, and carries a consistent look. While normally including characters in environment portfolios isn't that common, here it shows a well rounded knowledge of the game development process.
thats the thing you go down with your subdivision and do everything big like faceplanes proportions check everything until your head is a human head :P THEN you go up in subdivision and add wrinkles, alphas, spots, scratches and so on :) so continue this way check the model on all apsects then proceed to detail and texture
I agree with kite and markovnikov. I think you can salvage the idea by changing the hero though! :) Design wise - I think you need to continue the flower or fur theme throughout the armour, for consistency and to tie the look together. Shrinking down the branches would also be a good move, since it is very nature's…
Looks pretty good overall. My only real crits are that the buttons should have some wear not only on the edges, but in the middle as well. People pressing them continually would make them fade a bit. Otherwise your specularity looks strange, with the speckle effect on the metal. Would be nice to see some wireframes though.
Here is another update. Gonna start work on the next one, but continue to crit. I Fixed the tiling, the crack in the wall can be turned on or off in photoshop. Tried to make the bricks bit more 3d but still retain that "covered in stucco" feel. I also added subtle textures to the wall and bricks and upped the contrast and…
So the gaming blog profits off of pointing out a "news" article with blatant sensationalistic content in order to also profit, which continues to perpetuate the fact that this type of shit is profitable... for both sides. Awesome. I was expecting Dead Space or something of the sorts, but man, Sonic? At any rate, it's a…
The one on the left is yours currently (kinda), the one on the right is how it should look. If you continued the line between the two pillars it should form a circle. Personally I'd probally make a cylinder, extrude the outside to form a circle, chop away what I didn't need, put it in place and widen the base a little to…
Hello all, Over the last few days I have continued working on this and have now completed my Iron Man model, and here are the results. I created a rig in Maya to allow me to pose the model and then rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. If anyone else has anything to add please feel free. Thanks for looking Dan
