thanks a lot paul, that's probably what i'm going to have to do. If anything it was pretty cool practice... or whatever. i'll scratch this and try the other way tomorrow :)
Another update I started with the pose so that I would have to sculpt each side so they were not symmetrical. Yes it takes longer but better practice :)

Thanks for the advice. I shall try that. I thought that it was better practice to keep the texture sheet all in a single image. Am I wrong? Is this not the case in this situation?
I used zbrush and maya. No worries though, they were created in a day and can easily be done again. They were for practice and learning things such as this. :) Thanks for your response.
