I have had issues with UVs sometimes where I map an object, and when I move it about or place it in different spots the UVs change as if my initial projection was active. As with all things maya, make sure you delete history at certain points.
It's also worth noting that was done with the initial release of the store when most of us didn't exactly have quite the grasp on any kind of dota texturing and we were just grabbed up by the team from contributing to tf2. Was quite the stark change to say the least.
I started a project, realized I couldn't draw any concept so I was stuck from the initial idea, so now it is just stuck in my head, but I do have a dream of a game where you are food and you take down the man.
Going for realistic, at least initially. There's already plenty of stylised art in the VR space. I'm interested in seeing how people react to detailed, realistic assets in VR. I might still end up stylising it some way, but we'll see how it ends up :)
Sound like a cool idea. Are you doing the whole hallway? or just that initial room? Pod looks good. I know your taking liberties, but I think your pod is a little too upright. The images show it more like a 45 degree angle.
Latest creature work. This piece initially started out as just a quick weekend sculpt, and I liked it so much I decided to turn it into a fully textured low poly model. By the way, this was the first model that I fully textured in Mari. The render was done in Vray.
i tried also to solve the problem..and failed ...i will try it again but now i have no time ... i think you must start with initially higher divided cylinder and with that, premiums solution should work but i will test and post the wires when i've tested it...
I've done a bit of coloring on the initial image but figure it's not quite dynamic enough for the art style of League of legends. The second image is still mid way through the lines phase, whatever you'd call that, and should be finished sometime later this week. Color New Art
got the same problem. Once the initial challenge is mastered personal projects hover at 60 - 80% completed. I have yet to convince myself that actually finishing is the greatest challenge of them all. It's a far greater challenge than anything artistic or technical. It's all in the mind...
1. haha, yep 2. it is initially unintuitive, especially cause it works differently than original key-framing, but it is nice as it provides simple quick animation blending and i think the real gem is the local weighting allowing you to blend specific portions of the body together.
