Currently working on my environment module which will be completed by sunday at the latest as I want to submit it for the Blitz Open days as I feel it best shows my ability at the moment. I will be posted up the modular elements, texture maps and the scene in UDK when it is all done, Any critique would be really useful
Thanks! I'll turn the riverts into screws, and scale 'em way down. That being said, if I'll make them rested ontop of the model, instead of indented, won't they end up looking weird in the normal bake?(When viewed from the side). I always thought that indentations bake better than bulging elements.
Have you guys integrated the adverts correctly this time around? Chrome here and they overlap some of the top elements haha! -I've never had a issue with polycount banner ad's because it's free service to the public, actually it's the only site whitelisted on my Adblock. Just making sure you squash bugs :D
Is there going to be any logic behind the window variations, or is it just to break up the monotony? if so i'm curious as to what they's be. i've heard that some buildings took so long to build back then, that styles changed over the course of the construction, and various elements of the design were updated to reflect…
I qoute this from the shacknews site, the most important news if u didnt read. "Terrans: Wings of Liberty, will feature the main Terran campaign and a Protoss mini-campaign. The second release, Zerg: Heart of the Swarm will contain some RPG elements, with the third entry, Protoss: Legacy of the Void sporting some…
There's no automatic way of doing it that's for sure. You can just unwrap each element as a separate UV island. Other way is to use an intersection boolean operation and delete the non outside visible faces. Then you merge the generated vertices. The bad side of this kind of operation, is that it generates a lot of garbage…
I like what i see already even if its the last day :) hope to see you submit something,i think the 2nd is my fave it has a good structure to it and some interesting shapes as well. Along with some exotic plants and statues for some reason it reminds me of stargate of fifth element
Yeah, definitly this will have to show the whole capability of the UE4. :D I haven't changed the idea of the statues, just haven't drawn them yet. They will be placed as in the 3D sketch in one of my previous posts. The theme will be something like ancient castle with high tech elements. :) Thank you all for the nice…
http://kotaku.com/denis-dyack-finally-sounds-off-on-our-article-about-sil-508948428 The thing about that whole funds funneling issue, is Dyak is the first to bring it up, there was no mention of that in the original article that was published by kotaku, and there are quite a few other elements that Dyak speaks of as if it…
The color shift to pair with the given box isn't a bad way of pairing, but the box and message field really need more saturation to pop as the image the viewer should be attracted too. The rest of it feel like good additions. The milk in the bowl was a good visual separator for the important interactable elements vs the…
