I think it's a great idea, power to the player. I think adding skip features by difficulty might be an interesting approach. Rewarding players for completing game content in certain order with different endings, achievements and unlocks might also be interesting.
Love how impactful it feels. How are you creating that alpha tested bubble in the end explosion. Is it a sphere mesh with some kind of disintegrating alpha test texture?. Love all the shock waves and the sucking in sparks. Gives it real power!
I don't think your hardware is powerful enough to run all the fancy features in UDK. You should be able to use it, but all the advanced lighting and material things will do strange things, like you see in the default scene.
cool. i love the aesthetic...wish more games would use the power of new computers to throw simple shaded and lit polys around... think i would have thrown a bevel/chamfer on everything environment side, was there a reason no to?
@Beard3D Bandit Thanks man! Yea I love Designer b/c you can make changes so quickly and easily, iteration time is insanely fast. Not so true with sculpting though! But both methods are insanely powerful :)
here my first idea for azir the aztec emperor ! i have a lot to do. im pretty happy about the concept but my azir look like a chaman, but i want him to be majestuous (not fabulous) ,holy, powerful , and royal.
Nice hacks you got in there, but in production env that would be to slow, and the final result is not that good, shading errors, maybe that can be corected. Here is something like what you made but in 1 min....nurbs and converted to mesh. Fusion Power :) ).
Awww. His facebook is unavailable. It was being flamed pretty hard very early this morning, and its gone now. As it's been said, its definitely not the end of the world, but it's fun to get the artistic hive mind to display some pyrokinetic powers :)
I actually liked the old energy absorb better. The way it suddenly bursts makes it feel more unstable and powerful. I'd like to see the small ball of light in the center grow as it charges up, as well as the outer field shrinking.
What if the vehicle is a type of spirit that shape shifts weapons, armor, and other mechanical pieces to form a vehicle, that is powered by the spirit. The spirit in some sense is the vehicle, but is controlled by a magic user/summoner that is the driver. Too obscure? Answer: That's for you to decide :)
