@ Notes - (If you read this thread again). I did try the dirt normals, easy to get working, but it was barely noticeable. Im guessing it may have a better effect on rock and stone or some bigger metal surfaces, but it doesnt really add much to the small surfaces. Did you check that the normals are unified, that the maps carried over, etc.? Because when I look at it, your main building is missing a UV map and there's no rhyme or reason to the layout. I think your maps got botched, because the steps, etc. are fine. Ralusek's got it. Remember to add a light to the scene when using… -

I'm no pro painter in Zbrush or any other program particulary but I think you could add a paint layer using the spray dots color stroke with the standard brush and break the texture a little bit, then maybe mask by cavities and work on them with darker colours. The model looks great, I like the veins you did on the sides -

This look great!! Only thing I would do is add a few more cuts to the wall modules to round them out a little more. I can see some of your poly edges in there a little bit. If you did that, I think this image would look straight out of a movie. Looks freakin' awesome!! Great job! :) -

Did you try to use the bundled Cheat Sheet to sample gamma space substance values? There's a real IOR based sample for Nickel in particular there. I hardly ever add details in the substance map, but in my "Iron" example in the original post I actually added some variations in the substance map as I wanted imitate it being… -

Yeah, sculptris *IS* amazing, but it lacks a certain sense of control. While using the alphas a year ago i frequently im/exported between sculptris and max, especially for thin sections, leg symetry, etc. Like this guy which i never did finish, probably won't ever "finish" it, and will always want to return to it and add… -

I did my best to follow the advice given and hopefull you find this newest update to be an improvement I decided to hulk him out a bit There's still a few problematic areas that I want to fix up. New update :D , I have added the option to add a stairs to the building. Then placed a door on the balcony so people can walk there. Further I did some clean up and reworked a part of the graph and it is less nodes now. Gif stairs, wall models are replaced by window model if the stairs is placed there. Door automatically… -

hmm , the problem was that my original had open edges at the eyes and mouth, but I tried to add in geometry to make them closed. it did n't know what to do with the new geom and threw it all over the place.I will try turn of symmetry , might work hopefully.cheers another thing is that adaptive skin throws out existing uv's… -

my friend seyiji insisted that I add the Heaven's door skin thing on her back. so I did. I also changed the skin color and changed the eyes. here is a cuple of updates as well as a reference pic. I know it is not exact but I think it looks close enough. as always c&c welcome. the reference for the back
