Can't see any pics, but 800 polygons is really really low resolution. To do snow well, you'll want a detail modulation kind of technique, like discussed here. The Snow and Ice of Uncharted2?
"It's awesome to see these fine folks with a bachelor's degree in Game Art & Design, ready to go out and get jobs." That portfolio will not get her a job...80k well spent ..that should be punishment enough lol
Sorry for the bump, but I can confirm that FBX 2013 does indeed support vertex alpha in Modo 801. Which is very fortunate because they've ditched the original FBX 2010 format entirely.
This guy has 800 points, all by himself. As for me, 30 points. My mother comes at 53 points if you include her maiden name (but I guess those add up easily).
Its in good condition, no scratches. Just missing a few of the pen accessories but still have the nibs to it. Its also missing a cord that costs $50 to replace so I'm asking $800 for it. If your interested, send me a message please. Or you can contact me on skype at babykitten90
Oh I forgot to add my main reference for the idea: http://www.muharraqi-studios.com/muharraqi_gallery.php?cat=SCENES&id=108 You can see that shapes are stylized, but the materials and lighting are kind of realistic. I'm aiming for something like that.
Arnold Showreel January 2013 We teach this new render for Maya and we have a render engine running on a 200 PC render farm, soon expanding to 800, boom! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=sYPelZW8mMQ
Man, that would be nice if it were all "Aero and the Vid drivers stopped responding thing". But too late for Lenny, as I already spent about $800 trying to fix the problem... well the nice 1000w PSU and the 295 GTX is nice.
Order 1886 has 100k characters, infamous second son has 120k, Ryse 80K. Are you going to update your portfolio with higher-res meshes? Do studios look at that sort of thing?
