I think the neon colors work for the theme. Check out some reference of Sci Fi art from the 70s and 80s. Might give you some ideas. -

Just wanted to post an update on the texture. I'd say I'm around 70% complete. Primarily material definition so far. The rest should be detailing, with tweaks to the materials. -

Haha, fan-fucking-tastic ads! Agree with Vig on WoW though. I've heard they made it significantly easier to level up to 70, but it's still a massive time-sink.
