Taking an Organic Modeling class which has us do one model in zBrush every day. I guess I'll bring my old sketchbook thread back to life now that I'll have a steady stream of work coming out. This is what I did today. Started doodling on him in class and continued when I got home. The rough idea is that he is a sage of…
I haven't really been active on the boards enough but i thought i would share a recently finished personal project. I call this character Starr. He started off as a basic photoshop sketch i hadnt really planned on taking into zbrush but i just made the decision last minute.…
Love that critter Wayniac. This is my version of Cthulhu that I've been working on as a personal project. The base mesh was built in Max and then sculpted and textured in Mudbox. I then Decimated it in Zbrush and brought it back into Max to skin and pose. It's rendered in Vray. I've had a thread running here:…
After a busy period, I have been working in this airplane, named Falco, from the serial Future Boy Conan. Some reference pictures can be found here: http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b197/SiaoMouse/Model%20References/Future%20Boy%20Conan/ It contains a lot of images of the airplane from the serial or from models. Some…
purehilarity I see where you are coming from and i understand completely but when i was making it i was talking to a friend at the same time just doing all the stuff i find funny about new modellers the way they look up "old paper" on google and over lay it across there whole shot and use red wax and have there name…
@zelldweller - Looks lovely man! that's going to bake out like a charm, good stuff. Did you make a basemesh outside of Zbrush? Sooo I had a couple of questions regarding some of the high poly stuff I've been working on for my Bioshock Scene, and I made a couple of quick tutorials this morning to hopefully answer some of…
Thanks :) i may add a character at some point, however it'd probably also require the walway to be redone in places, mainly the reflective main panels. Closer up they're not that great, so i'd need to rethink them and give them more detail and greebling. Also, i already have an engineer based character done in zbrush,…
Fozwroth: nice trooper! :) Ravenslayer: i love that movie! you did a great job on him, you should totally do Amelia sometime :D fightpunch: very nice concepts, loving number 3 and 4 ^__^ elementrix: nice blockout :) BoBo: loving the new creature XD cross posting from my characters' thread :D made a new generic female base…
Tried out a new technique in zBrush where I emulate real clay sculpting by building a skinny zSphere armature that I then add InsertSpheres on as if they are lumps of clay which i deform and sculpt on. I then dynamesh it and sculpt on it. Didn't really take it that far so parts of it (especially the arms) look really…
i always feel bad for just fanboying haha, but there's so much awesome work in here. Romy, it's worth reiterating how totally badass that texture is :) bitgem, love that arch man - would love to see more of how you approached it. I'm surprised you polypainted it in zbrush and what benefits you see to doing it that way :)…
