Hm, I understand this, but now I fill absolutely frustrated :( UV-channel 1 (Diff) is OK - when I assign VRayMtl there are no problems with diffuse. UV - channel 2 (Lightmap) seems OK to me too - I tried to assign it as diffuse to detached object - all parts fit appropriate parts of mesh. May be you can give me an advise… -

I've decided to remove the trailing part of the bandanna so that it's all contained and wrapped around his neck. It's much easier for animation this way (after having issues with Max's cloth). Hm! Well the stuff that got me in as a lighting artist is my renders in maya. Although you wont encounter this much in a game engine, you might want to explore something like mental ray, vray,etc.... I can tell you now it will be nothing like lighting for a game engine but it will put you in a certain mind set and help you… -

You should spend the bulk of your money on some large HDDs so that you can store stuff, maybe a quad core Intel i5 2600k, since IMO AMD gets outdated very fast (Phenom II x4 owner here), and some 600 series nvidia (for physx), or a 7000 series AMD card.
