I like those textures, a decent blend of 'clean sci fi' and over the top wear and tear sci fi. A happy medium in short. But that door, urgh. So bland and out of place for such an integral part of the texture. It appears that its a sliding door, but those grey strips make it look like hinges which conflict with the whole…
Sure. For LP part I used sharp edges and edge split modifier. I wanted to redo this part from zero, but I would like to figure it out, because this can happen with more serious parts.
A little update: imported in ZBrush for sculpting (see colored parts vs. flat gray parts). Now going on interior. [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JB-GhbNryI[/ame] Of course, the missing parts will be mirrored.
the part exists from styling- see also the side part the swirl comes from brushing/styling as well. I am Caucasian, have close cropped hair and i do not have a swirl or a part FWIW.
Here is my progress so far, still have to add in the details and make the weapon. It has been a lot fun to work on this guy, having a ball. I took some liberties with the original concept, I liked the idea of the crystals being a bit more controlled, stemming from bony parts of the body and such. Aiming for a bit more of a…
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but i am currently working on cars for a game and i would very much appreciate if you can shed some info regarding the number of faces per car including interior and undercarriage parts? I was amaze at the level of detail in Dying light cars and i think you guy's have use lods without…
Oh man Slosh, your recent update of Tibber is so freaking awesome. Your shapes are nice and chunky and very readable, even your detailing is spot on mate!!! I really like it. I stared at it for awhile and was like "ooooOoo" I may have missed this part, but are you going to put fur on his hands? Also, good job on Annie…
It's obviously delusional to hope that everyone will do this, for every engine. But I'm sure quite a few people have been building from the start with modular level design in mind (obviously I'm thinking about peole using game engines, like UT3 etc), and wouldn't require so much effort on their part to just release their…
If there is going to be facial animation YES you do need to use quads, you wont get nearly as good of results when you morph tris. Atleast around the mouth area where you will get the most deformation. If there isnt going to be any facial animation tris arent a problem but i still like to use quads for the most part…
I saw a good sized portion of the movie since it was on HBO when I was bored. I enjoyed the sound design and a lot of the visuals quite a bit. I don't really agree with you about the no message part. It had as much of a message as most other films. It told a story. Anyyyyways... I dont really think it was particularly…
