I've played Crysis 3 multiplayer in whatever iteration is was at in September, and I can confirm that it was not visually very impressive (and the gameplay was an embellished CoD clone, of course). I'm interested to see what they manage to do with console hardware.
I would have likened the concept style more to the Metro Cop from Half Life 2. As long as you avoid gas masks you should be able to steer clear of any comparisons to Kill Zone.
I think game companies would be more interested in your work if you damaged your assets. A lot of today's games are post-apocalyptic and war zones themed. GOW, COD, Fallout, Uncharted (crumbling cities).
It seems good on the modeling and material side, but it looks boring. As Matt said give it life. I mean, I cannot say much since it is just the beginning, but so far, it's good. Keep the work comming. Cheers!
That doesn't quite make sense that the bow is made of metal. Drawing that back is gonna require strength very few, if any humans, have. The edge of the arrowhead is blunt instead of sharp. Needs to be sharp if it's going to hurt anyone.
I used ON1 for up-rezing some textures. It also worked well for what it does. Maybe not the right thing for linework or non-noisy art but worth checking out. https://www.on1.com/products/resize/
You're right, only extremes exist. Its all or nothing. I laid out a detailed reply with examples and he immediately cops out with a one liner about mansplaining. There is no stereotyping or bias occurring here.

He should try to sound less like a salesman and talk about pros and cons objectively instead. I for one hope this thing takes off because It should result in better looking art in less time.
