The topic of realistic facial animation could easily fill a book... so erm... I highly recommend this book. http://www.jasonosipa.com/JasonOsipa_Main.htm It goes over everything from propper topology (extremely important) to setting up those complex rigs.
"Far beyond the usual blow-away-the-monster visuals, machinima offers photo-realistic cinematic computing where scenes, sets, and characters can be pre-visualized and rendered in real time, and where the mood and perspective can be rapidly changed." LAFF.
Hey congrats! Like the shape of the house and the fluffy roof! I think the style of the background clashes a bit with the shop (looks more "realistic" - maybe cause of the trees?) and some surfaces look bit clean/new (considering roof is overgrown). All the best for the next project!
Hello everyone ! I hope you're all having a great day. This is my new personal project inspired by different styles in order to achieve a blend between stylized and realistic look and it's good practice to try new stuff and techniques, I hope you like it. Allright, I did the unthinkable. I textured my 10 million polygon highpoly. Tell me what you think, I want this to look realistic, I'm thinking of using it as a portfolio piece. Any c or c welcome!
The style is somewhat mixed. If you look at a Pixar film, their environments are as realistic as they can get them, but their shapes and forms are exaggerated. That's the style I'm going for. But if the tiles are sticking out to you, I'll have another look at them, thanks for the feedback
Really really nice in my opinion. Where did you learn to do this? A specific tutorial or only personal research? Because I really like it haha. : P I should also put myself to realistic human anatomy. ^^
I working a bit on optimization and now its 3856 (the original is 5256) triangles. Here is an image to presentate where i optimize it.The reds are the original meshes and the oranges are the optimized ones. I hope thats enough to get "realistic" tricount
I then tried to adjust the proportions a bit to try and make her a bit less realistic and more "Disney." Cant say i am happy with it but it helps break up proportions a bit. But I cant say i am satisfied with it.
Decided to turn the Gladiator into a semi-realistic game model and push my substance painter skills. Still need to work on the boots and add some things to help break up the patterns more. Would love any suggestions or critiques!
