i tryed maya 2012 but tbh i prefer 3dsmax 2012 alot more just seems simpler for me anyway. hope it wont bite me in the rear that i prefer max in the future lol
Thanks Jacob! Breakdown coming soon, Hopefully that will help you out with your texturing in the future ^^ Little more candy to gnaw on until I do the write up. Edit: *Removed to keep the thread lighter*
Thanks Brad!! Ya that FAV was for an art test I took recently. I really enjoyed learning from that model, as it was my first vehicle. Hopefully I'm going to be doing some more of those in the future!!
Autodesk put Mudbox on ice for 2 years while porting features to Maya, but after the 2018 release in the near future, they will bring it out of cold storage. They got a lot of criticism on the beta forums, but seems it's not dead.
Thanks guys, your comments are really appreciated :) MrsNomintons - Thanks :) Yeah I know what you mean about the psycho eyes haha The shadow planes on the eyes is definitely something that I will consider in the future.
Many thanks guys. How can I check these things for future cases? I'm always astonished to see how far things go lately, and it's very hard to see any credit for creators these days...
Somehow I need to practice more on the idea of making a sort of "plan", or highlighting certain parts for future reference like the reply above me. So far I find the blockouts are both interesting, as they are motivating.
Wow, thats really good work. Love the textures and lighting. I'm kind of in the same position being new to normal mapping. I may have to hit you up for info in the future. -Neil www.neilberard.com
Thanks for the crits - re-renders all around then, and as far as the levels go, it's a limitation of the sauerbraten engine(thus far) since it doesn't have any significant texturing capabilities. Not like UT or HL. Maybe in the future...
