Almost done with the modeling. Just finished adding the Magazine Eject Button, the Grips, the Ejection Port, and several Bolts and Screws. Did also some tweaks here and there. What's left to do is the Buttstock, and the levers for the Safe and the Firing Mode. Current tricount is 27k
no need for cameras, just press 'P' to set your viewport in perspective mode before you press the render button ;) for all I can see the car looks very nice =D I'm sure you'll add in the little elements later
Nice work man! Using it right now and it's pretty handy. However, would it be possible to get an option to let the images scale as you resize their window? Also it would be awesome if there was a button in each image window to have them display at their full resolution.
If you have a material ID mask you could simply add this as a cutout mask onto the layer which has the pattern. Just set the layer as a "track-matte". For this you need to klick the "toggle switches/modes" button under the layers menu.
I got rid of my hand pains by switching middle mouse to the zoom button where my thumb rests. Haven't felt hand pains in a year. You should take breaks if it's that bad. Also make sure to work in an ergonomic environment.
Do you have any reference or a concept you're using? I'd recommend staying at low resolution as possible. It's tempting, but I wouldn't worry about belly buttons or neck tendons when you're going to be making pretty large scale adjustments.
Sorry, I was wondering if this question could be answered. How do I copy a hand painted mask (for the material group) and apply it to another material group. Or, can I take a handpainted mask, and quickly (ie at the press of a button) make it a material ID?
You can change the button size in the preferences which in turn can make certain things more readable. The magnifying glass can be useful and has settings. The quick info and preview icon size can also be increased which helps as well.
Awesome stuff, the site should be in English from the start honestly. I bet a lot of people just close it down after they see it's in another language and not staying long enough to notice the language buttons. But really nice work on the characters, very nice.
good advice on the render but it;s not a krogan, the grendal is based off the carnifex and other tyranid creatures from 40k, i am trying to embed the image but none of the "insert image" buttons are working (the link just 'breaks') ..oh wait that one worked
