Depends on the result you are trying to achieve. For games particularly, having many edges converging to one single vert is a bad thing, that's why the balls in game are made from a cube and not a sphere. I honestly didn't think that much of Rage overall, but I went back to older areas just to admire characters alot. Especially the 2nd character, the girl who teaches you the boomerang things. Man, that NPC looked freakin unreal in-game. She looked so well-designed that I couldn't believe she had such a minor role. -

Well I'm a very sociable person so I don't think that's an issue. I guess i'm just over thinking this. I just keep having 2nd guesses that I'd be overstepping my boundaries by working my way towards asking for work, but after further research and asking around it's not at all uncommon for this. Thank you guys. -

I haven't tried it yet (no uninstaller = no installation). But from the screenshots I fear the UI booth design and screen space wise. If its supposed to be a production or productivity tool then compact screenspace is very important for many professionals, same with non- distracting colours or design - what a artist works… -

When I magic wand select even with a tolerance of 0, I select mostly all of the document. For the time being im just doing a 2nd render out of xnormal with not so much padding when I do my bakes, but it'd be nice to see if this is possible without leaving maya. ;______; I miss the user friendliness of 3ds max. -
Re: Combining multiple UVs and exporting to UDK
if you have a shared UV, select each single mesh and create a 2nd uv channel, and fully pack it from 0-1 UV, with no overlapping. you can load the uvs from channel 1 into channel 2, just remember to upsize the uvs since your channel 2 lightmaps won't/cannot be shared with any other mesh.
