On the top left of the max viewport, here it says what view it is (perspective, left, etc), right click on it and go to transparency>best. That should get it working for ya. Odd about the TGA file though. You're sure you are saving it out as a 32-bit file? I've made the mistake before of rapidly hitting enter to skip the…
No, I wouldn't say getting things into TF2 is any harder than Doom. They are similar in many ways. You have to get the specific exporter for Maya/TF2. They have their own file types so you need the vtf (valve tex format) converter for photoshop or gimp. When you export the mesh you'll have to make a material file like…
So I have been plugging my 360 into my 2405FPW monitor and it looks GREAT with analog. However, I can tell that the edges of everything are pretty jagged and can really benefit from some AA. Anyone know if a VGA cable could help this? Anyone have any experience with analog vs VGA?

Here is an update to my entry. The material is just a color study and not the texture. I'm pretty happy with the model. I'll probably add a few more polys to the sword. The model has 2443 polygons. I'm going to start texturing soon. Thanks for all the feedback. Let me know what you think. Alex
i sincerely hope you're not a convinced anglophile, because dutch english is somewhat american-sounding, heh. When are you going to London, anyway? i'll be there from the 24th of this month to the 10th of october, and wouldn't mind meeting up with some polycounters myself.
I was just looking at some of the lines on that magazine cover, and I can't help but feel intrigued over "Once you try #6 He'll never look at his tie the same way" You have some nice music choices to there Jon. I havn't listened to Front 242 for ages.
