Do your sculpt first, then bake AO and normals. AO will help you landmark your details in your diffuse and also accentuate your normal-mapped sculpt details.
Finished model. May re-visit at some other point in time, to add more such as attachments. 10k triangles with Diffuse, Normal, Specular and Gloss maps at 4096 x 4096.
I think the character could benefit from a detail pass both in the diffuse/albedo and material map. Color variation, Detail variation , and two images of close up details.
I tried make the normal map, but when I apply the normal map, the model was very ugly... then I decided to leave without the normal map . Model with diffuse map:
Thanks dude, here is pretty much the almost finished one weighing in at 110 polies with two 1024x1024 maps (diffuse, normal) pretty good for a 14 year-old :D
I lol'd out loud at your post. Learn to read. I said when you make diffuse and such it IS NOT the same as concept art. No, I'm not gonna qoute it. Look for it yourself.
good question cheap. Anyways, i saw what pior is doing with his patriot, and i felt the need to blow the dust off this lady. Started the head normalmap and diffuse.
Yes, for the tires, make it just a plan cilinder and add detail with the diffuse map. There are also some scale issues i think, the truck looks too big for the scene or something.
Woot! The vehicle can be downloaded here: http://www.crymod.com/filebase.php?fileid=4064&lim=0 I'll upload the diffuse texture psd after I organize it a little too.
