Mark's crits are spot on. I'll add that the cloth is way too tight, sure you want some anatomy to show trough, but the abs area is too extreme. -

I had a creative blockage when designing one of the machines. So i said F it, and threw a dirty piece of cloth over it - done. Rendered with Eevee. -

Nice start you got there and really fun concept. For the vest, I'd probably try to attach it to the big diagonal strap and make them one piece of clothing.
