thanks for your advice, Nox, in the future i am going to find a job in 3d graphics. In job advertisement i often see 3ds max or Maya requirements, so i will choose one of them.
Thanks for the insight, CrazyMatt! I'm guessing that in the future poly counts will be so high that we won't need to worry about 'animation loops'. When the poly count gets high enough topology ceases to matter.
Hi, there ! Imagine the future where Mars has become the second homeland. However, its environment differs, and in the end, it prevails over the human technologies, no matter how powerful and advanced they are. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/5Nq1O
Yesssssss! Looks great! Those texture breakdowns are fab. Good job sticking to this and polishing it off. :) One last question for the future from me, do you have all these options ticked on in all these shots?
Glad you folks liked it! I'm going to TRY to do more stuff like that in the future. I took a few minutes and did some expressions using a combination of layers in Zbrush. The bottom right is the neutral.
Looks very cool, but I'd totally go for the easy "cool blue" techno/future lighting as the main light source/ambient color to contrast against the orange paint and glowing metal. This scene is practically begging for it.
I'll have to look into engines for sure, especially importing my future assets and tinkering with it all. Thank you for feedback, looks like I'll really have to pick up Quixel, never used it before. :)
I've tried it very little, I'm rather curious about it more. So far it seems very handy and time saving. I may resort to something like this in the near future if feasible to my workflow.
Thanks for all the feedback; it helped a lot. Here are the finished versions of the gun, including one without any rust: http://cargocollective.com/kristof/Weapons I might revisit the project in the future and put it into a game engine.
Wow, once again... those are awesome! I'd also be interested in WIPs or any tips! And I can't wait to see some weapons! Are you planning on doing some environments in the future? I'd love to see that.
