thanks for the crits, I will try to do better next time :) Haha, I had some fun with the axe *** I think the black spot on the shaft is AO errors when I made the shaft longer lol
What's the error, and what version of 3ds Max are you using? Have you installed the latest service pack? I'm guessing you already had a drag and drop script defined and Cathodeus' script is causing a conflict.
you have a similar error from your previous works where the lower lip anatomy is off and almost looks like an overbite. it almost feels like there is no lower lip. besides that, i like it. the eyes are great.
Did the AO-bake, some small errors but mostly fine. also started create the base-texture for the bronze-feeling I need. I'm going to dirty it up more, got long ways to go still.
I always love watching FZ's videos. I especially like that he takes the time to explain the science behind why something is the way it is visually, and draws over student work to show how to fix errors.
Ok this is what I handed in yesterday. The render was really rushed and the pose has some errors in it. I got a lot of great feedback from my teacher, so I'll definitly keep tweaking this the following weeks.
A good thing I do is to harden all the edges on the outside edges of your uv islands. I am pretty sure I read this some and I hardly get any errors now. That should fix this. :)
actually, I added those lines ($upaxis, $illumposition), in to try to correct the problem. However, those lines don't appear to do anything regardless of whether they are in or not. Am I, by chance, using them wrongly or is there a syntax error?
strings like that turn up for a while now, still no official support yet, i hope they release an official sdk and proper documentation soon. atm its reverse engineering most of the time and ofc try and error.
Back with long Edges and 2 Support Edges: Breaking the Normals with the Edit Normals Modifier looks fine, but when i click on unify or "Set SG´s from UV Shells" in TexTools, the Errors come back.
