Planned to start working on this during the Artstation competition but exams got in the way. Need to figure out how to do the hair in zbrush and the tattered cloth under the shoulder and waist piece.
I tried making the clothes in Marvelous Designer, but I suck at it, so I'm back to the good old sculpted folds. Don't mind the chest piece clipping, it's just a placeholder.
i think it looks OK, they could be some kinda alien were-wolf like species who got dragged into the tourney, but aren't that tehnologically sophisticated, hence the 'primitive' clothes...
i think that is my arm on the left...i do kind of remember that fateful night, couldnt get that lipstick off for a week(i need to start washing my clothes)
Yay, even I remember this! Looks great, I'm imagining him with specular mapping on his gloves and more subtly on his clothing as well. What's Maya Paint anyway?
im talking about stuff like this: http://www.curtad.com/knight/knight_3.jpg like how is it possible to sculpt stuff like the clothes without messing up the skin underneath, or sculpting stuff like the belt buckle?
I see that the edges of the clothes don't have bevels. Would this suggest at a glance that they use split edges for them? Or would the shading issues of using soft edges be considered negligible here?
Just had to do the wrinkles ,folds and cloth pinch in Zbrush using the outline from marvelous. Please C&C or advice ,so i can move forward with necessary changes
Ow wow thats a great idea, the thickness is 100% always an issue with realistic clothing for me so using pollygroups would fix a tone of that! cheers for the links
