Hey Jabac Ordof, Your approach seems very fast, but also quite messy. On your original thumbnails, it's good that you have so many iterations, but most of them could be the exact same character in a slightly different pose, or with one new accessory. The whole point of a thumbnail is to really push the silhouette and come…
On the Delerium page, clicking on any of the images takes you to a Vimeo site for the video. This is definitely NOT the expected behavior; either remove the link entirely or link to a larger version of the image. The final two projects only have a single image, so the pages feel barren. At the very least, I'd expect to see…
First, WiX is an awful web host. Anything flash there's a good chance will never be seen. Additionally, images can't be saved by leads into a folder for presenting lists of potential candidates. You will be overlooked. Carbonmade has cheap, HTML style hosting. Also very dark images on a white background a contrast killer.…
AAA, Dammnit this makes soo much sence and I feel soo vindicated for the last three to four weeks of confusion and study and frustration I've been going through. when one tries to give the eyes the right shape, and keep them looking straight foreward, the result is hours of frustration. its relatable to those childs toys…
Displacement maps have always been limiting in some areas, because it only retains the height information for points on the model in a grayscale image. Displacement maps work well to represent detail on simplified meshes when the models silhouette detail or overall shape needs to be apparent to the viewer. On low res…
I answered while at work on my phone. I am a sheriff deputy I work in what is called a secured facility. (Jail) . It's a felony to have a phone in there so I answered as best I can and hoped I could get to my phone later but couldn't. We are locked in the the facility and are understaffed. So that being said i have a gif…
define 'define'. litSphere shading samples a texture based on the view vector, changing the sample vector to a arbitrary 'light vector' will give a different, although generally undesirable effect. the problem with expanding this Shading Through Texture concept is that these litSphere images combine various different…
You've got nice work on there but one thing that made me do a double take was that you have written "3 x 2048" on your dragon prop. At first I thought you meant that you had use 3 2k sets (diff, spec, norm). Then I realised that you meant all 3 textures. I think in most cases people say that they use 1 2k texture and it's…
Depends on the Max version you are using there's a bug in the AVI output module, which produces broken AVI files when the file size exceeds 1GB. The AVI file simply gets truncated and does'nt grow any more after that limit. I think the bug is there since Max 2010 ( i can't remember when i reported it first) but my memory…
While I don't think Alex's initial "critique" was even remotely helpful, I don't think he should be berated for saying the images could use work. I thin the 3rd and 4th images are great. I'm not too terribly keen on the trees in the second - i've got a pet peeve with the leaves fanning out in odd directions on tree models.…
