Hey again, I found another solution without using the Twist function within the Loft Compound. Try to turn off Banking and it should maintain a better shape to what you are looking for. Also, thanks for making a post about this issue. I had fun figuring out a solution.
Your UVs are nice and clean, nothing to worry about there. IIRC that shader sometimes has issues with scale. I personally don't use this function much, but it can be nice. I remember it constantly showing me problems where there really weren't, I find the test checkers more helpful.
I remember seeing this thread back when it was new and I'm sure a picture like that would've been stuck in my mind, how did this end up there? Also how did Bigjohn find this after 3 months? Is there a 'search boobs' function I don't know about? :P
Maybe I'm nit picking, but what is the reason for those rods? Throwing on greeble for the sake of greeble just confuses the eye. It's a door and it does one thing, divide one space from another. Every other element should work to sell the idea that it's a door. Keep it simple, keep it functional.
Wii was the last nintendo console I'll buy, and I've owned every one of their systems up to this point. I imagine most of the additional functionality will be gimmicks tacked on to existing games. There will be a few exclusives that are neat, but ultimately not worth the cost to play and the in-ability to play next-gen…
How are you creating the blur? Is it a post process? What's going on? Keep in mind there's usually 2 ways to "Blur" something, if it's an image you're going to have to do multiple samples (Shift uvs like 5 times and blend) or if it's a function you'll have to figure out an analytical way to soften it.
Torchlight ftw. :D I had no idea there were still cards/gpus out there that only supported fixed-function. Also, Chris, I think I love you. I also hate you, because DA's gonna eat all of my free time up. :p
I went from an intuos 1 to an intuos 3 and I dont reall notice much difference to be honest. I turned off all its extra support functions and only ever find myself just using the pen on the surface. I dont regret my purchase though.
Dreamhost support was usually fast to help, but the site I had for a while with them was normally slow to the point it was not functional and I couldn't even work in it sometimes. Same thing with another acquaintance that has a website with them, timeout errors, barely loading a lot of times, and both situations there was…
solved! well in a way. r&d guy at work i pitched this to came up with something better. sadly this means that i will not be able to share it. :( but i was assured that using the gw.* functionality does indeed have quite the effect on performance so this might have been a dead end anyway.
