What comes to my mind is the human skin. It's somewhat complex that you can't achieve believable enough skin diffuse/albedo just by combining multiple baked texture information. So, some painting is needed to some extent.
Personal experiences obviously vary and ... well, we've obviously had polar opposite experiences. :) Once you get familiar with the work plane and a few other things, it's like an extension of your brain. Just a beautiful modeling app...
Trying different FBX SDKs? Is this process using sample presets from Autodesk FBX Extensions
and building in Visual Studio into .dll, then using that in the 3ds max install
folders? Just checking this method is correct for trying FBX SDKs.
Hey Jeff, how can I watch that uncompressed footage you uploaded? It came with no extension, so I tried feeding it into VLC but it wouldn't play. Thinking it might be an archive I fed it to winrar, but it couldn't open it either.
Notman: I'd love to see a return to t1's server-side mods, those were genius. You didn't have to download a thing unless you wanted custom models, and there were some quite extensive mods!
9.22.13 Had the flu this weekend so i'm not on my A game definitely, but I feel this was my best drawing from this weekend (some major Ghost in the shell influence). All done in Photoshop (NKS5 extension is just awesome for drawing.)
Excellent work brwnbread. Not enough high-quality anatomy work around these days, folks do just enough. Your sculpt nails the pose, forms, every compression and extension. Beautiful. Here's something I'm working on right now.
If you're going to give Blender another shot I highly recommend the Pie Menu Editor extension. Even with just the official pie menus addon or the addon from pitiwazou's Github Blender gets quite a bit less clunky.
Thanks Jade. :) I do know about it to an extent. EDIT: I just read up on what you mentioned. Thanks for informing me about it, Jade. If there is any more info u can share about it, please do.
- Being able to see places in the distance and travel to them directly, on foot or mount/vehicle - Extensive moddability in a PC game. Increases the game's value so much. NWN, etc... Proof of both, what I'm playing right now:
