I'm still having trouble with this. for now i'll have to move vertices by hand bit by bit until the "make planer" button doesn't make any visual differences so that i know it's a complete flat surface with no triangulation.
What do you mean by appearing in the right places? Assign the relative texture to each relative slot, assign it to the model, then click the 'Show in Viewport' button in the Material Editor if you want to see the textures applied in your viewports.
also I guess you already have done this but hit the "delete all caches" button in decimation master before you pre process, that might help cos Z keeps all decimated files in a single folder
adam man you are doing it wrong when you tick the normal map checkbox, click the file path button type thing to the right of it, and in the drop down menus choose Y- JOB DONE NEVER FLIP AGAIN
It is possible to create an action that copies and flips half of the canvas but it will have many limitations such as drawing on one layer only and manual update (this means you should draw a line or two, then press a button assigned to that action in order to update.)
In the Mesh Tools panel, there is a Limit setting right next to the Rem Double button. This sets the Mas distance between verts that will be welded when you click Rem Double. It is in blender units so go up in small increments.
Isn't there an options button in UVW unwrap edit window with the latest max 2012 version? In 2009 there is an option panel that drops down and reveals some bitmap image options where you can set the dimensions of the bitmap image.
Great idea, thank you! How would I go about doing such a thing? I've seen sites that have a side to side type banner/button/folder for grouped content but I have no idea how to do that.
Thanks a lot Laurens! I don't know why, but seems like it doesn't work well for me. :( The export button doesn't seems to work. But I can still select some meshes and group them to a new selection.
Perhaps change the screws to bolt heads or one of the buttons you put over countersunk screws? Phillips screws are killing the scale. At first glance I thought they were a detail on the floor, maybe just above ankle height.
