Thanks for the feedback. I get similar things said about the blood. I'm going to try my best to fix them up. I will also try to more "realistically" spread the blood, specially over the blade. Cheers!
If Shader Forge is not powerful enough, is there any other material editor that is better than it? or at least a material editor to setup the R,G and B alphas so that I can blend textures with it without loosing the realistic reflection feature.
I'm really digging the more realistic looking artstyle you used! The only problem I could see that the colors are not as "attention grabbing" as valve might want them to be to get into the classified category. I can be wrong tho >.<
This is really good! The top hair could benefit from being a bit longer but at the same time with the more realistic approach I'm not too sure if sol's longer hair would fit will with his frame. Worth a shot though.
Basically a normal map affects the direction of the lighting, because leaves all face different directions, a easy way to realistically break up the lighting is to change the normal of each leave by individually. Its a quick and dirty, but efficient, solution.
One more tutorial, this time for realistic glass. It contains the windows that I´ve used in this scene. Enjoy! Video Text Please let me know if anything is unclear or if you guys run into any problems. Cheers, Simon
Looking good Ace! Although it looks cool, I'm afraid it doesn't look too realistic (first half) to me. You might have to fiddle around with it a little more. Second half looks great too, mate.
Head asplode! http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=ambient+occlusion&meta= It's actualy not that confusing. I use it to detail places where dirt, dust and grime gathers.(plus it makes faces look more realistic).
yep great first attempt at realistic, another image hosting site that i use is www.photobucket.com and seems like what your thinking for the rope would work. Though i think it would just be the one across the chest
hehe this was suggested in the Skin City request boards about a month and a half ago. Still a decent idea. The next question would be do you want it cartooned like the show, or modeled in a realistic sence like the gto pic?
