Penciled in a lot of details sans shading, and cleaned up the blockout substantially. Once I give this all the proper shading and clothing folds comes color next. UVs need tweaking as well. -

I penciled a seahorse for mine recently for the same reasons. I had'nt sketched anything in years. this is just worlds of cool. hope things go for the better. needs more bunnies in the field though. -

Nice pixel art, but it doesn't seem entirely pixel art, it is obvious you did not do all of it using the pencil tools and fill tool. You seem to have used some airbrushing. -

Yeah. Put away Zbrush. Pick up a pencil and learn that stuff first. You're trying to run before you can even crawl. -

it doesn't have to be a ball. A common object used for exercises in 2D animation is a pencil. But the idea is to use something really simple and a ball is pretty simple.
