I don't think polycount should worry about whether their contest overlaps. Considering you never know when a gameartisans challenge will actually start, it's impossible to really plan around it. And realistically, polycount comps are better managed by a long shot, so they should continue doing what they're doing.

Right off the bat I would say look at your website and redo that. When I loaded it up, the very first thing I see are that axe, gun and sword and that's nowhere near your best work. Lose the impressionist area entirely. Take a look here and maybe follow suit with a redesign of your site to really put your best work first…
