Does anyone know of a DVD collection of human motion intended for use as animation reference? I'm not talkin' 'bout 99% of every movie every made, but something more focused, created by and for animators, in the style of Muybridge's books or the Animal Picture Show. Thanks.
Yeah.. would probably be an issue. Needs to be tested though, if my crappy laptop can handle it I bet 99% of the users system can handle it as well. Maybe a good little project to start learning some MEL? =P
For the Puck set, that's the info we got on an email from Valve. The set was supposed to be bundled with a ticket, but it won't because apparently it's too similar to the default set. I'm 99% sure that's a bullshit excuse, but whatever, nothing I can do.
sinistergfx : i agree, their topology is nothing special (whole body, imho) but keep in mind that FFX production was started in '99 - topology wasn't such a hot topic back then when nurbs and not subd's were still the way to go for character modelling.
I can't really place it, but I'd probably go with Ice-Age. Growing up possibly Terminator 2? More recently The Haunting (the 99? version), then there's American Pie or Me, Myself and Irene. I really put down _ONE_.
I would lower the intensity of the light shafts, everyone is really over using them in super extreme manners. light shafts should be something that subtly compliments the scene never be in your face in 99% of situations. looks like this is coming along nicely man.
People are saying it could use more polygons, and I agree, but I honestly don't think 99% of players would notice. Players will notice 4- and 6-sided cylinders these days but this level of detail is probably fine, especially if the art direction is strong enough.
yeah with a coupon (found by googling) you can get wix premium (Hosting, Domain) and remove all the ads for $99 usd a year Its the more expensive option but I had a design in mind for my folio that no other service would match %100
I agree with ZacD throw a base texture on there first and see if it's even noticeable from a reasonable distance. A player would never be able to get that close to an object in 99% of use cases unless you're intending for this to be in VR and actively being picked up and inspected.
Yes, technically 99% of schools are 'for profit' but Full Sail is one of the 'tech schools' I wouldn't consider it having a decent fine arts program. I'd also stay away from anything that 'isn't' a state school. Save your money..
