For those still on previous version of Max, if you can get your tools guys to sort you out, it really is worth moving to 8.1 or 8.2. Of course, it does depend on what you are using max for, but there have been so many improvements. I had to switch from 7 to 5 to do some Liberty City Stories work, and that was horrible. -

I don't think I yet fully realize the scope of this project, but putting these walls down has given me a really good idea of the amount of work ahead of me. What resolution are you using for your textures? Most game models use textures which are 1024x1024 or less. 2048 is rarely used, and 4096 even more rare. What hardware are you using? For example: Intel i5-2500 3.30GHz, 16 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, Windows 8.1. -

I`m on Photoshop CC as well and we tested this on multiple pcs and windows 7 as well as 8 and 8.1. Loading presets reshuffles color id definitions in all our test cases. (very simple and 100% possible to reproduce). I`m not sure if this works for someone but so far I haven't heard of any proposed solutions to the issue -

My Intuos5 seems to have the same "smoother" surface that my Intuos4 (2nd batch) has. The confusion over Wacom's statement that the 5 has the same surface as the 4 is probably because it is not always specified which version of the 4 they're referring to.
