Looking great! I think you can bring the tri count down considerably without affecting the overall silhouette. Alot of the details can be passed through to the normal/height maps. It looks good for your first model, If you want to dive into how you make it look like something in a AAA game you should start learning sub-d modeling, there are loads of tutorials and resources out there on the subject so I wont bother describing it in any detail.
