turned out pretty darn good! I would recommend you watch this tutorial for future skin texturing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Loge0vl1YWc it will help you push your realism to the next level.
Yeah, thanks Sandro. I intend to finish this piece in a time and let my client know that I have over estimated my own speed, and thus in the future I would need more time.
I used a few, but at the same time it's hard to stop working and use the reference, def will use more reference in the future. I was working at really low poly for a fair time with it :) thanks for the reply btw. I will.
http://www.avalanchestudios.se/ yup, Avalanche is expanding to Manhattan, just a few blocks from Rock* :) and as Christofer says, looking for lots of people :) gl to all! hope to see some polycounters on the mailing list in the future then! ;D
Everything I've heard says that Cryengine is taking a pretty hard nosedive right now, and their future is far from stable. If you intend to learn just one or the other, UE4 seems like the better option.
Great work so far! Even in it's unfinished state the scene is impressive. With regards to learning Modo - I'd say go for it! There is nothing stopping you from going back to Maya if a future job requires it of you :)
you can't without painting it as a separate polypaint file or subtool. for specular that's kinda redundant now with PBR workflows as skin has a constant value. also: Pfft, will get you ignored in the future real fast.
Hi everyone! I'm adding some very rough sketches. They give exposure of an idea of the composition and tone in my future artwork. I decited to use the "A" version, because it fits the best to this composition and perspective as well.
What kind of views do you mean? The better you describe the problem, the easier it is for me to identify the cause and help you. Please provide more info with any future problem you might have :)
Congrats, they certainly seem to be a booming company so hopefully you wont have to worry bout getting laid off in the near future and maybe some opportunity to travel as they have a number of studios in different countries.
