It really depends on what sort of rock formation you're trying to make. Do you have some reference images that you're working from? There are many different types of stone with all manner of different shapes and surface types. It's difficult to point to a particular part of a sculpt and say "this doesn't look right"… -

Good planning. Those barrels do look too generic. And they also don't look like metal. they actually look closer to stone more than anything else. It's just too noisy. You can buy a 500$ license for 1 year 3ds max (with free upgrades), and you could grab polyboost at 150$ to beef up the modeling part heaps.
