Just picked this up: [ame]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Color-Light-Guide-Realist-Painter/dp/0740797719/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1311451302&sr=8-1[/ame] Will let you now how good it is.
i thought you were going for some really low poly stylized stuff , like katamari damacy... if you were going for something realistic, why did you make your original mesh so low?
It's too obviously artificial to get much of an emotional response. Give it super realistic eyeballs and you might get a little closer. I don't think you'll ever really get that genuine feeling of revulsion without animation.
ty i will look at the book ...and i noe use more and more references to get a better idea of design and realistic proportions in my next images i think its gone better ...what would you say ?
Thanks for the reply. If you get good results keep me informed. This is the flow map from the UE4 photo-realistic bust project. Seems like it has been crudely painted and the dimensions are only 64x64. Not really sure.
Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 (and 3 soon). God of War trilogy Bayonetta Devil May cry Demon's Souls/Dark souls possibly (less exaggerated/frantic action, or more realistic, however you wanna look at it)
Looks really cool, great concept as well. I think the pants are the weakest spot atm, the folds look a bit fake and dont really have a realistic ending(or whatever you call the sleave end on pants) at the feet.
Here's another weapon model! This LMG shoots three bullets simultaneously, one straight forward, and two from the sides. A gun like this wouldn't be that useful in realistic shooters but it works fine for a bullet hell shooter like this one.
AO seems a little incorrect. You have some bricks looking darker than other ones, realistically only grout part should be slightly affected. But whatever, that's not gonna make a visible difference. Looking pretty nice. :)
While the texturing is good, the original high poly materials look more realistic to me. Also, the texture seems to have just a bit too much contrast with the white grunge spots being just a bit too white.
