Hi, for 3ds Max, you can take a look at these free scripts, they're nothing like RayFire, but may be enough depending on what you need to do. http://loran-cg.blogspot.com/2009/10/k-b-o-o-m-released.html combined with: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/fracture-voronoi
Picked this one up b/c a lot of people were playing it at work. I enjoy it quite a bit, although I must admit I'm more into Dragon Age at this point. Anyway congratulations, well done !! Great style great game play. Great price 8) Way to go WESTSIDE !!!
My intial idea is, compare color A to color B and feed that output to a lerp node which lerps between the unmodified texture and the modified texture(or straight up solid team color). ShaderFX is still quite new to me. But from what I see, when it comes to creating this with the set of nodes available it's clunky.
Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe there is a way to import UV animation. Your 2 best options are to either: A: animate your uvs in Unity's animation editor with tile offset or B: make/find a uv scrolling script. Here is a good starting place. I hope that helps.
@musashidan Thanks! I eventually got the normals on the head all figured (just a matter of changing the normal map format in Painter) out but the curviness of the borders on the body pieces causes weird pins. I'll try and straighten the borders out @Obscura Odd, I guess I just gotta bake again B)
Actually, koreans are better than the rest of the world in competitive games because of theoryrafting/spreadsheets. They are better at maths and they calculate which is the best combination scenario in terms of resourses(resourses being anything like gold health mana and time management) they literally train even the…
That's kinda true, depends if a new pay rise is on the table if you're obviously above par. Any reasonable person will compare them and if person A is working three times the speed of B you're either going to have to compensate them or expect a 'I'm moving on email' soon enough. Harder in a tough employment market though.
@LANKUS MAXIMUS @DougClayton4231 awesome cheers ill definitely give the idea of changing it to b&w a go when I get home to help better the lighting and will upload some more shots of the scene. @Robeomega Umm its really hard to say as Ive been working on and off like 3 weeks maybe.
Hey thanks alot B Fatz I appreciate the comments, I actually already made a tpose with the some proportions. After that I posed it and brought it into zbrush, i am not necessarily making a character for a game more of an anatomy exercise. That image is great by the way thanks for that. Also good luck on your own character.…
Looks great! I really like how you made an abandoned environment without making everything completely broken and chaotic, usually these kinds of scenes end up looking more like warzones. Reminds me a lot of this: http://th08.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/f/2010/068/b/e/YOYOGI_STATION_GENSO_by_tokyogenso.jpg
