Looking great so far! I think the rocks look too shiny though, unless it's raining of course. Dry rock and stone should have a pretty low gloss and spec.
Yeah, they are to spec for what the factory put on it. It was one of the first 4x4 ever created. Later people put real beefy tires on. Maybe I will create some beefy ones later.
Added some materials, I decided to tone down the colours from the concept art I did since it is supposed to be a mil-spec and I felt like the orange was too bright.
Your best bet would be to make a flat color texture, and use gloss and spec maps to make it shiny or whatever you want to do with it. It doesn't have to be a detailed texture. (For the metal)
For anyone that was lured in by the promise of boobies and disappointed with none present: I like it, the style's really cool. I guess the spec could use some work, kind 'plastic-ey' atm.
it be better if you ould expand more on your purpose. is this for game specs? or just beauty render, and what are you shooting for realistic or stylised. overall id say its looking good
Then put a strong blue light angled from the upper right to lower left, and a orange light in the opposite direction. Then add a little spec to your material and turn the gray to a darker color.
You're right it does look weird. I tried to make it look like an indention on the bench but something is going on with the normals I guess. I'll have to fix that spec issue also.
