Definately needs moar debris, and foliage? An ancient city would have been completely taken over by nature, maybe some big ivy/creeper/vines type thing could go well? This is an incredible project and it looks awesome, just looks a bit too clean at the moment. WOO ZACK. -

the lack of specularity makes them look very flat, combine that with how busy the textures are with all the "gray" chippings (they really just look like gray patches) of paint etc. and it just looks like a mess. whereas a good spec map and some thoughtful lighting will help define the different shapes. -

if its up to a vote I'd say try to carry on, and if theres stuff left to do when its over go back and tweak bits later. I still think its a cool idea to try and its not too late to continue. I'd definately like to give it a go sometime too. -

It may help to model more of the pieces as separate meshes. You'll get sharper better defined edges for the different objects and it'll help make texturing a LOT easier because you can render out each object with a different color when processing to give you a mask for your materials. -

You can try IC.Shape 2.0 Relax instrument. Holding CTRL relaxes vertexes on planes defined by each vertex normal, in this way it avoids the "collapsing to a flat plane" effect of standard relax, helping to preserve the volume. It works on Editable Poly objects. Get IC.Shape from IllusionCatalyst web site. -

Regarding the NDS3D set I get, an error regarding the camera towards the end of the Program. Using the 3DS Loader I get some issues saying that TEXPC isn't defined (I cudn't find any information on this). Any of you guys had any joy playing with this stuff? Cheers Greg -

don't play tennis with the ball launcher for an hour. Learned my lesson last night. After 30 mins of the workout my body was feeling the pain of agressive movement. the next 30 mins was even worse. It was great exercise for my fat-computer-sitting-body, but I definately hurt this morning
