very very nice so far! love the design and also your way to add zbrush in your workflow. This changed a lot and makes it even more good. how did you came up to this overall design? you`ve scribbled first or started with rough blockout. love to see more, good job!
I was not expecting a pic of such a gnarly bruise! Good reference though. Thanks for the advice. Yeah I'll definitely push the colors on the zombie more. I did start to use purple for the shading but started dialing it back. I'll add it in again to make it pop as well as some more yellows. And the vines and such will come…
I did, but for some reason it stays within 1 second. I'm not sure how to extend it for the full 10 seconds or how to add points for wing flaps, or even to speed up the wing flap for that matter. he does one really slow flap, then nothing. p.s. thanks for the condescension, beginners love that stuff
Unfortunately I unistalled it and did not deactivated it so now I can't do that. I just installed my new license and I was able to activate the NDO portion of it with out any problems but I can't with DDO. This sucks because I was looking forward to playing with it this weekend. Is there something else I can do?
Noted. I would like to add that I chose this shape because it's similiar how they did it in "Zelda: breath of the wild", personally i think they achieved awesome results for such low poly game and i am aware that i won't get same results without their shaders and skill but for now it looks just terrible.
Taking a little down time did a quick 30 minute attempt at Alchemy its a neat little program. What I was able to get out of this is a realistic version of Mr. Zurkons Dad from Ratchet and Clank. Pretty cool though I may bring it into Photoshop and take it to the next level on a rainy day.
You can do whatever feels comfortable and yields good results. For hard surface stuff I like to add more details to such models and make a mid-poly model. Then I turn it into high poly and low poly models separately. Like I did here: http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=66094
did you add your highpoly mesh to the projection modifier? the 2 tone texture you get in max when rendering kind of suggests there is something wrong with your lighting or rendering settings. I'd suggest you create a completely new document, merge just your models in to that document and try bake again.
You're most welcome. ALl I really did was add some reds and yellows with an overlay layer. That might be all you really need to do with your textures- but I would think that the effect would be just as easy to get using vertex coloring (which is mostly free to use in engine and extremely effective).
ok cool, thx a bunch guys, heres a very small update i did, reimported to fix the blur and removed all of the scratches (it was a base metal i had) so ill add some scratches back in when i get some time. http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/9155/scifidoortestrender10yp3.jpg
