Well, the 2nd map doesn't need to be edited to work with alpha test, which just applies a cutoff value so any pixels darker than that get cut away and any brighter become solid. Without the shader though, you can't be sure how the maps were used. Can you extract a shader? -

For how badass of a character this guy is, the first pose is really taking away from the character. The way he is leaning back appears almost uncomfortable rather than intimidating. Your 2nd pose works a lot better and shows off the character. As for your work that went into this project, two thumbs up! Great work :D -

Most contests also have 2nd and 3rd place prizes, that's why it comes across less like a contest, and more like getting people to provide you with a bunch of designs for your site. And honestly, if the pages are so easy to make, then why not just ask for the artwork? If this is for a game, don't you already have game art… -

Thanks for the comment. I am currently working on the subway line, breaking it up to make it easier to manage and texture. The building in the back does have a 2nd UV channel but for some reason it is giving me that weird shadow in UDK. I will try and up the light map resolution. 1st. thing is i get this Bios shock feeling when looking at that stair case and the checker tile... Not sure if that's good or bad but its what came to mind with in .25 seconds of looking at you scene. 2nd is if its a library i would expect A LOT more books. but everything else looks pretty good quality -

his forearms from the front / looking at him side on look extremely thin, looking out they seem fine but you might want to bulk up it up a little bit for the outside, e.g the 3/4 shots 1st shot = right hard, 2nd shot = left arm, or maybe i'm just out of it this morning
