Did you setup the 2nd UV channel for lighting? You'd probably also get better results from a road shaped mesh that is nicely segmented. Though sometimes you just get wacky errors. I did a modular sidewalk that would have odd lighting errors whenever it so desired.
This is looking really cool. In the 1st and 2nd picture, the shadow outlines created by the light coming from the door look a bit jagged. I'm not sure if that's the skylight or directional light, but maybe try toning that down a bit to create a smoother transition into the shadows. The whole feel and ambience of the scene…
Yes I like your 2nd portfolio better. Your best work should be right at the front. I really need to do this on my portfolio site too (so little time). Potential employers will literally spend seconds on your website and if there is nothing eye catching on the front page, it will be unlikely they will be interested. Good…
finally the 2nd tank went public as it appeared on some screenshots :) So here is a quick update with some breakdowns :P It was not as detailed as M3 Stuart, but well, its the design :) EDIT: re-uploaded the version without 3-color camo, cauz i don't like that camo, but it has to be in the game due to historical accuracy :P
realy nice detail and a have a realistic look for handpainted textures.. but i think the first one need a bit of color and the 2nd one a bit mir contrast. i think u can handle this with some spec, normal, gloss mapping.. and lighting. but if u want to have this unlit shading. add more color and contrast to the textures
I got the same probleme in mu current project, its not that big of a bleed but still is. I'm also sure that my 2nd uv set is ok with no overlap and I got the same kind of result you're experiencing. I tried cranking up the lightmap resolution but no better result. I hate lightmaps...thats it XD
you mean on the resume or on the site? also any font recommendations? essentially anything 3d modeling, but id like to do characters. I put the characters at the fore front, because thats what id like to do, but wanted to show if they dont like my characters i can do props as well on the 2nd page.
Sounds good to me. I think the easiest way to get an accurate headcount would be for everyone who's coming to say so and confirm here, and then I can reserve us a table towards the middle of next week, maybe the 2nd or 3rd or something, to give people a chance to reply. Does between 5-7pm work for everyone?
Lovely bit of weight to this guy. Nice work! I particularly like the slight drop you give in the hips when his front foot hits the ground (more noticeable in the 2nd shot of the video in your dropbox link). The secondary motion on the backpack only enforces that, and it works well! Looking forward to your next piece :)
Love the design!! Functionality really pushes through in the 3rd and 4th images. 3rd is by far my favorite. Having a little trouble seeing how the 2nd door functions though. Needless to say, all of these are amazing. Thanks for showing us this! Very very very cool re-imagination of our typical sci-fi door.
