First image is 2772 x 4609 pixels, so the file size is 8.42 MB. 2nd image is 6548 x 3392 pixels, 11.68 MB. If you used a max resolution of 1920, the file sizes would be more manageable. Try downloading the images after you post them, you'll see.
Overall, the environment looks good. - Bake more ao on the ground - I'm not sure if it's a good idea to make a copy of a build level in Crysis 2 - Finish your 2nd work - Take out the blank squares at the bottom of your page - Show your textures and their size - Indicate the number of triangle per scene
I love his design! And all the thumbs look so dynamic, and just, wow! I'm leaning more towards the first thumb, the perspective works very nicely, and his cape creates a nice sense of movement. Although, I also quite like the hang-man gallows concept of the 2nd thumb. :)
This is your 2nd warning for breaking our rule about pirated software. You are now banned permanently. We have zero tolerance for those who use or advocate cracked software. Besides the immorality and illegality of piracy, as game developers we are software makers and thus we rely on purchasers for our salaries.
When you're using UE4 for Archviz are your floors and walls just static mesh or do you use bsp? Did you have to create a new high poly to bake? 2nd UV channel for Light Map? Is your Archviz workflow different from a your Environment Art workflow? Thanks
The seams you were getting in UDK due to your approach on building it... it, to me, doesn't sound like you made a 2nd UV Channel for a light map. So it is just using your texture UVs to bake the shadows which would give you a horrible result. Let me know if this is the case.
Hello, I discovered Polycount recently and this is my first time participating in a challenge. :p Here are the hammers, ready for texturing : 1st hammer 2nd hammer 3rd hammer Unfortunately, since I totally suck at drawing or handpainted texturing, I think I'll rather texture them in a more "realistic" fashion.
Well, I asked for a refund since someone keeps pushing back the release date on this game (2nd time so far). Last time this happened with a game ordered through Steam, all my friends had moved on to something else by the time it was un-locked for me. These games aren't huge in Japan as it is...
That's insane! He's not adding edge loops to everything. What did he mean by "Double Smooth" Oh does he mean: 1st Turbosmooth- Tick smooth by group. Then seperate sections into groups. To give you a general nice smoothing 2nd Turbosmooth - Add extra edge loops if needed to define further
Actually, that's probably my 2nd question. Does Hand Painted mean, Hand Painted="Looks" painted, i.e. an artist painting a picture. OR... Hand Painted=use of Photoshop skills + Wacom + optional (Zbrush/Mudbox) I don't have any experience in the game industry so I wouldn't know the answer.
