Probably rendered using Marmoset, although there are a lot of rendering engines which can do this (if you're using Substance Painter, it can do renders too, if you don't want to buy Marmoset). You can then take the render (with alpha) into Photoshop and layout multiple renders onto one image, and adjust the background as…
@poopipe Can you tell me how comfortable is ! because i have monitor 4K 27" and i facing a big problem that everything is small in 3ds Max Menus & icons..etc, even when i changed Windows Display Settings (Scale and Layout = 175%) Display Res 2160, still not fixed yet, Any help i'll be thankful.
Sure, if you want to upload it I'll take a look at it. I'm actually rather interested in seeing whats going on since whats being showed on your uv layout is different than whats being displayed in the checkered material in the viewport. The newest version of Max I have is 2013 so if you have a newer version you'll have to…
good stuff haz! looking really nice, awaiting the final textured version :) I second that comment from dirigible about 3Dcoat, strongest 3 things it does are 3d painting/retopo/UV imo. I also finish my uv in maya though but 3dcoat has quite a few good algorithms to layout UVs for you to get started :)
Looking great so far, looking forward to seeing progress! One quick crit. The floor is too repetitive. You have a lot of space in your texture map to vary the layout of the stones. Search around for hand-painted floors on here and you should be able to find some examples of tiled floors with more variety. Looks great…
I think if you want to have nice baked light maps you might first have to learn how to proper unwrap. Planar mapping, box mapping and flattening are all automated methods but nothing compared to a well unwrapped UV layout that can avoid distortion, overlapping and seams. You seem to be a max user, have a look at this:…
I think blogger is pretty good you just need to give it a chance. Check out my site. I dont know any Html but with a little effort you can have a decent site. You could also try carbon made, it is simple, its free as well, but you don't have too much control as far as the layout.
Ya welcome, Thomas...there wasn't alot of UV shells so it take alot of time...it will take a few trial and errors to get the bake just right but I feel that this idea behind the UV layout is something that should be considered very early on in this field. I wasn't aware of this for a while when I started and it would've…
The main image could use a bit of downsizing. After clicking your link it takes up almost half the page. The layout has a bunch of wasted grey space I think could be fixed by rearranged the way your columns are set up. Work looks nice! I would definitely try to get those sculpts baked down and game ready.
Well I spent a little time building out the docks. I am trying to think as modular as possible so that I can reconfigure the layout of the scene if I am not happy with the composition. I have also made a bit more progress on the jeep. Ive started on the stone bits of the building, but I'm not quite ready to show those yet.…
