For a start you are doing good, but would be better if you show what references you are using and if is going to be a realistic or stylized character. Also always shape the head, even if is a simple form, because the measures of the head will be used for the rest of the body
reality doesn't use formulas, everyone has a different sized head. those are just very basic guidelines you should't religiously stick to. if you are not sure, do some lifedrawing until you get a feel for realistic proportions.
I'll revisit the arms for sure. I probably got over zealous with the smears :D . And it's a bit unexpected with the model being on the realistic side. But Kiel's rig is so good and flexible I want to stretch and pull it in all directions lol.
Wow, great work. My only tiny crit would be to broaden your styles. Everything follows a very realistic vibe so it would be nice to see some stylized stuff if you were interested in those jobs as well.
Owh yeah certainly, but the concept is barely any resemblance in terms of atmosphere. As I am not that good with 2D as with 3D I'll adjust it later to give people a more realistic look in what I am creating. Thanks for the reply Bonkahe!
For so much time away your doing a really grand job, showing a good skillset with realistic and hand painted here, even improved the hand painted one a tad so looking forward to seeing more from you!
I remember to have seen once a tutorial of a guy that took a bassrelief of RL picture and created a very good representation of it in 3d but not just by photomanipulating he used several tricks to make it really polished and realistic but I can't find :( ...
tnx a lot guys , i really appreciate the comments on the fur i think its a like it or dont thing, i do realize it isnt realistic fur but then again in my eyes it still gives me the feel of it here are the presentationshots
not sure exactly now what style you're going for.. seems a bit of a mix of tf2 and somewhat realistic.. anyway, if ur going for a more toony tpye of look you may want to bump up your scene diffuse boost.
Have you tried making the eyes a bit more real? It seems to be everything follows a particularly realistic style, but then the eyes and the ears are a bit of a drastic change. But that's just my opinion. Very creative use of the hood for the cap. I like it!
